Step 8. At this stage you can add more detail to the Business you are adding, if it has been found the details will be partly filled in on the form. New listings will require all the details to be added here, go ahead and enter your details and be sure to tick the “I deliver goods and services” if that is what you do. Read the Important Information text if you more information.
Step 9. Depending on your type of Business, you will be offered two verification methods, sometimes I have seen the option to enter a phone number and receive a verification code, although this has only happened once. Normally verification is carried out by Google sending out a Postcard to the Business Address. That way they ensure you are authorised from that address to register this Business. Once you receive the Postcard, go to your page and enter the number to get verified.
Step 10. The last Business I attempted to register failed after a month, so requested Google send me a new code. Normally the Postcard arrives within two weeks. The message box below will advise you your Business will appear as unverified until you register. The validation period is 30 days currently. Click continue.
Step 11. The next screen will prompt you to save the information so far, enter missing information for contact info and click save.
Step 12. The next screen encourages you to upload photos which will appear alongside the Google Map Search for your Business. Add representative photos related to your Business and include a photo of yourself. Click save to continue.
Step 13. The next screen Business Info displays the information so far, you can edit any section here by clicking on the pencil symbol. The progress bar shows a value of 80% completed Business Information.
Step 14. In this screen I have put the mouse over the Address section which displays a call out describing the requirements for this section.
